Maryland Hustle continues to showcase its impact on collegiate softball as two alumni from the 2024-2025 season have been recognized on the prestigious USA South Softball All-Conference Team. Both athletes currently play for William Peace University and have earned accolades reflecting their hard work, skill, and sportsmanship.
Adanya Day (Team Thompson) Shines at Third Base
Adanya Day was named to the All-Conference Team for her exceptional play at third base. Throughout the season, Day demonstrated remarkable offensive prowess and consistency, highlighted by an outstanding Player of the Week performance. During that week, she went 11-for-19 at the plate, boasting a .579 batting average, an impressive .652 on-base percentage, and a powerful 1.263 slugging percentage. Day also scored seven runs, drove in 13 RBIs, and recorded four home runs and one double, along with three walks — all contributing to her well-deserved recognition as USA South Softball Player of the Week.
Sam Cusic (Team Cusic) Earns All-Sportsmanship Award
Teammate Sam Cusic was honored with the All-Sportsmanship Award, a testament to her exemplary character and leadership both on and off the field. Her positive attitude and dedication have made a lasting impact on her teammates and coaches alike.
