What a weekend!! The 12U Hustle baseball team came out this weekend focused on improvement from their previous outing.  Improvement they achieved right off the bat in game 1 and then a new focus came to light, we can win this thing.  The boys bats started off slow in game one being shut out for the first couple of innings and then exploded for the rest of the weekend, scoring 42 runs in 4 games and going undefeated.  In addition to their hot bats the pitching and defense were solid all weekend as well, only averaging 4+ runs a game.  Sean Beach,  Landon Newsome and Chase Harkness ate up most of the innings on the Hill and relied on good defense to keep their pitch counts down and runs off the board. In addition to the work on the mound Sean and Chase batted .500 for the weekend and Chase produced 6 RBI's in the Championship game with two bases clearing doubles with the bases loaded.  Even with great individual performances, this weekend was a huge team win, with everyone contributing at the plate and on defense, the team batted a total .378 for the weekend with an ERA 1.90. Big shout out to our last years teammate Ryan Tucker for filling in for injured Blaize Belkov on Saturday and supporting us on Sunday.  The boys look to carry their hot streak to the beach when they travel to Fruitland for their next tournament on Oct 5-6th.
